Agenda

For our Botox workshop, there will be a didactic session neuromuscular anatomy, histology, pathology, pharmacology,  toxicology, and reversal treatment strategy of Botulinum toxin. Case study will be used to correlate with principle. For the hands-on session, we will first learn Botox reconstitution, preparation, and aliquoting medication. Then we will practice simulated Botox injection with saline on silicone head, face and neck models. After that, learners will have the option to practice real botulinum toxin injection on each other as volunteers.

For our Orthopedic  joint bursa muscle nerve block workshop, the didactic session will cover anatomy and surface landmark for localization purposes. The hands-on session will focuses on basic joint, ligament, bursa, muscle, and nerve injection techniques. These skills are helpful for any office based procedures. We will  perform joint injections and peripheral nerve blocks on models. With practice, these procedures will become much less formidable than they seem.

We will share correlative anatomy and pathology to facilitate understanding of signs and symptoms. These concepts will be reinforced with extensive case studies to highlight differential diagnosis, risk reduction, treatment, and complication management. We hope to build a road map for diagnosing and treating common orthopedic, neurological, spinal, and headache-related conditions.

Please see below for an example schedule. Please also note that the curriculum may change based on faculty preference. Accreditation information is located at the bottom of this page.
