Dr. Zhicheng Li, MD
Dr. Zhicheng Li has been practicing spinal intervention, pain medicine, and neurology for 14 years. He is double board certified in Neurology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, and currently practices at Cypress Spinal Intervention, Headache, and Pelvic Pain, PLLC.
He completed his internship and neurology residency at Columbia University in 2006, before completing a fellowship focusing on headaches and facial pain at the Montefiore Headache Center in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City in 2007.
In 2008, Dr. Li completed another fellowship in pain medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, in conjunction with Cornell Medical School.
Dr. Li has taught and mentored medical students, residents, fellows, as well as physicians and advanced healthcare providers since 2001.
In 2005, Dr. Li was invited to be the Grand Rounds speaker at Columbia University Medical Center’s Department of Pediatrics. In 2007, he was twice invited to be a Grand Rounds Speaker: once at the Department of Pain in Shandong Provincial Hospital, and again at Cornell University Medical Center’s Department of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Li was the recipient of the American Headache Society’s 2006-2007 US Human Health Clinical Headache Fellowship Award. In July of 2006, he also received a faculty appointment from the dean of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
He was also awarded the prestigious 2007-2009 National Institute of Health (NIH) Ruth L. Kirschstein National Service Award for outstanding achievement in medical research and teaching.
With over 20 years of experience administering injections, Dr. Li has the medical knowledge and clinical experience to share with you everything you need to know about Botox, joint and bursa injections, tendon, muscle and nerve blocks, as well as how to leverage the tools of ultrasonography and fluoroscope to your advantage.
